FG–FGX Falcon Adjustable Coilovers

Front pair / Standard

Check your body style before you buy. Not sure? Text 0449 887 291.

FG–FGX Falcon coilovers: adjustable coilovers for the Ford FG (FG MkII included) and FGX Falcon, built 2008 to 2016. You set ride height and damping. FG and FGX use the same kit. On a sedan you can fit the full set, just the front pair or just the rear pair. FG and FGX utes run leaf springs in the back, so a ute takes the front pair only. The XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV versions share the FG–FGX suspension mounting and fit by body style like any other FG. Bolts straight in with no modifications.

Will it fit?

  • FG, FG MkII and FGX sedan: full set, front pair or rear pair.
  • FG and FGX ute: front pair only; the rear is leaf-sprung. More in Falcon ute coilovers: what fits.
  • XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV: choose by body style.
  • Rear pair: one part across BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans, sold separately as the BA–FGX rear coilovers.
  • Got a BA or BF? Use the BA–BF coilovers.
  • Suspension already modified or not factory? Text us before ordering.

What you get

Contents depend on the kit selected above:

  • Front pair: front coilovers, sold as a pair.
  • Rear pair: rear coilovers, sold as a pair.
  • Full set: front and rear coilover pairs.
  • Ride height adjusts, so the stance is up to you.
  • Damping adjusts too: softer for daily driving, firmer for the track.
  • Choice of front spring: Standard, 18 kg or 22 kg.
  • High-grade steel with a corrosion-resistant coating.

Fitting them to an FG or FGX

Fit each coilover in place of the factory shock. Because the rear is a true coilover, the factory rear spring is removed. A machined clearance on the rear lower mount lets it slide into the rear knuckle in one direction only. Book a wheel alignment afterwards. The install page has the general steps.

Which spring rate?

Pick the front rate for how you drive: Standard for the street, 18 kg for track days, drifting and harder driving, 22 kg (the stiffest) for track use or very low static cars. More in the spring-rate guide. Front springs are also sold on their own: replacement front springs.

Questions owners ask.

A quick text beats a return.

Text 0449 887 291
Will these fit my XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 or FPV?

Yes. XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV models are built on the same FG–FGX Falcon, with the same suspension mounting, so they take the same coilovers. Choose by body style: sedans can run the full set, front pair or rear pair; utes take the front pair. If the suspension isn't factory or has already been modified, text 0449 887 291 first.

Can I run a full set on a ute or wagon?

No. BA–BF utes and wagons and FG–FGX utes run leaf springs at the back, so there is nothing for a rear coilover to replace. Order the front pair only.

How low can I go and still drive it daily?

The body is height adjustable, so you set the drop. The lower you go, the more a firmer front spring makes sense: 22 kg is the one for very low static cars that need extra front-end support. Get an alignment after any height change.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes. Any ride-height change moves your camber and toe. Get an alignment once the car has settled — usually after a week of driving.

What if something fails?

Text 0449 887 291 or email sales@falcx.com.au with your order number and what's happened, and we'll sort it out. Photos or video help. Replacement front springs are also sold on their own.
