BA–FGX Falcon rear coilovers: a height and damping adjustable rear pair for BA, BF, FG and FGX Falcon sedans. One rear part fits all four series. It replaces the factory rear shock and the separate factory rear spring with a true coilover, with no cutting or modifying. XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV sedans take it too, with the same rear suspension mounting. Utes and wagons can't use it: they have leaf springs at the rear.
Will it fit?
- BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans only, including XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV.
- Not utes or wagons (leaf-spring rear). For a ute or wagon, the front pair is on the BA–BF and FG–FGX coilover pages.
- Not for the AU or earlier. The AU sedan rear is in development, and there is no FalcX rear kit for EA to EL.
- Buy this if you already have fronts, or want to do the rear first. For both ends, the full set is on the BA–BF and FG–FGX coilover pages.

Fitting them
Remove the factory shock and the factory spring, then fit the coilover where the shock was. The lower mount has a machined clearance so it slides into the rear knuckle one way only. If it won't seat, turn it 180 degrees. Get a wheel alignment after. Full guide on the install page.

Yes. XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV sedans have the same rear suspension mounting, so they take the same rear coilovers. If the suspension isn't factory or has already been modified, text 0449 887 291 first.
Will it fit my ute or wagon?
No. It is for sedans only. BA–BF utes and wagons and FG–FGX utes run leaf springs at the back, so there is nothing for a rear coilover to replace.
Do I need the front coilovers too?
No. Buy the rear on its own if you already have front coilovers or want to do the rear first. To do both ends in one order, choose Full set on the BA–BF coilovers or FG–FGX coilovers page.
Is it the same rear coilover for BA and FG?
Yes. One rear coilover fits BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans, so it's the same part whichever of the four you drive.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?
Yes. Any ride-height change moves your camber and toe. Get an alignment once the car has settled — usually after a week of driving.
