What fits each Falcon

FalcX front coilovers fit every Falcon from the EA (1988) to the FGX (2016). FG and FGX came as sedan and ute, not wagon. A rear pair or full set fits BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans only.

BA–BF Falcon

2002–2008, Sedan, ute, wagon

All BA–BF Falcon parts
  • XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV models take the parts for their series and body style. Why
  • The rear is one part for BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans: BA–BF rear pair, FG–FGX rear pair.
  • The EA–AU front coilovers also list the XH.
  • Replacement arms on sale now fit AU, BA–BF and FG–FGX Falcons. None are listed for EA–EL Falcons yet.
  • Prices in AUD. Only listed, priced parts are shown, each with the fitment from its own listing.

Good to know

  • Same front on every body style

On the EA to BF the front is the same on the sedan, ute and wagon. FG and FGX came as sedan and ute only. In each case the front pair is the same across the body styles that series was built in, and it bolts on with no cutting.

  • Utes and wagons: front pair only

Falcon utes have leaf springs at the rear, and so do the wagons Ford built, from the EA to the BF. FG and FGX came as sedan and ute only, and the ute is leaf-sprung too. A rear coilover replaces the factory shock and coil spring, and these cars have no coil spring to replace. More in Falcon ute coilovers: what fits.

  • One rear for BA to FGX sedans

The same rear coilover fits BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans. It’s sold on its own as the BA–FGX rear coilovers, for people who already have fronts or want to do the back first.

  • AU sedan rear: in development

AU sedans came with IRS or a solid rear axle, and each takes a different rear coilover. The front is the same on both. Which one have you got?

  • EA to EL: front pair only

There’s no FalcX rear kit for EA, EB, ED, EF or EL Falcons, sedan or wagon. They take the EA–AU front pair.

  • XR6, XR8 and FPV

XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV models are built on the same BA–BF or FG–FGX Falcon, with the same suspension mounting, so they take the parts for their series and body style. Non-factory or already-modified suspension? Text us first.

A new series often started part-way through a year, so a car from a changeover year can be either one. Not sure? Text a photo of the front of the car to 0449 887 291.

Sedan, ute or wagon

  • Sedan Four doors and a separate boot.
  • Wagon The roof runs to the back of the car, with a tailgate.
  • Ute An open tray or tub behind the cab.

XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV models fit by series and body style, like any other Falcon.

AU sedan: IRS or solid rear axle?

AU sedans came with independent rear suspension (IRS) or a solid rear axle, and each will take a different rear coilover. The front is the same on both. The AU rear coilovers are in development: get launch emails.

Solid axle One steel housing runs straight across from wheel to wheel, with the diff in the middle of it.

IRS The diff sits on its own in the middle, with a separate driveshaft out to each rear wheel.

Will coilovers fit a BA or BF Falcon ute?

Yes, the front pair: BA and BF Falcon utes take the FalcX BA–BF front coilover pair, but not a rear pair or a full set, because the ute has leaf springs at the rear. The same goes for BA and BF wagons.

Will coilovers fit an FG or FGX Falcon ute?

Yes, the front pair: FG and FGX Falcon utes take the FalcX FG–FGX front coilover pair, but not a rear pair or a full set, because the ute has leaf springs at the rear.

Do EA to AU Falcon front coilovers fit wagons and utes?

Yes. The FalcX EA–AU front coilovers fit EA, EB, ED, EF and EL sedans and wagons, and AU sedans, utes and wagons: the front is the same on every body style. There’s no FalcX rear kit for EA to EL, and AU sedan rear coilovers are in development (IRS and solid-axle cars will take different ones).

Do BA–BF and FG–FGX sedans use the same rear coilovers?

Yes. One FalcX rear coilover fits BA, BF, FG and FGX sedans. It’s sold on its own as the BA–FGX rear coilovers, so a sedan can have a front pair, a rear pair or a full set.

Do FalcX coilovers fit XR6, XR8 and FPV Falcons?

Yes. XR6, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and FPV models are built on the same BA–BF or FG–FGX Falcon with the same suspension mounting, so they take the coilovers for their series and body style. If the suspension is non-factory or already modified, text 0449 887 291 first.

Do you sell replacement control arms for my Falcon?

For some series. The fitment cards on this page list every replacement arm on sale for each series and body style, with the fitment from its own listing; a Falcon with none shown has none on sale yet. All arms are also on the OEM replacement arms page.

My car’s year fits two series. Which is it?
