AU sedans came with independent rear suspension (IRS) or a solid rear axle, and each takes a different rear coilover. The front is the same on both. Check which yours has, or text 0449 887 291 if you're not sure.

One front pair for sedans, utes and wagons: the front is the same on all three. There's no FalcX rear kit on sale for these models.

EA–AU Falcon Front Coilovers

Standard

Check your body style before you buy. Not sure? Text 0449 887 291.

EA–AU Falcon front coilovers: a height and damping adjustable front pair for the Ford EA, EB, ED, EF, EL, XH and AU Falcon, 1988 to 2002. The front is the same on the sedan, ute and wagon, so all three take this same front pair. It is a front kit only. There is no FalcX rear kit for EA to EL. An AU sedan rear kit is in development: AU sedans came with either independent rear suspension or a solid rear axle, and the two take different rear coilovers. Direct bolt-on, no modifications.

Will it fit?

  • EA, EB, ED, EF, EL, XH and AU: sedan, ute and wagon.
  • AU sedan with IRS or a solid rear axle: the front is the same, so this front pair fits either.
  • Rear: no FalcX rear kit for EA to EL. The AU sedan rear is in development (see AU Falcon parts).
  • BA, BF, FG or FGX? See the BA–BF coilovers or the FG–FGX coilovers.
  • Non-factory or already-modified suspension? Text us first.

What you get

  • Complete front coilover kit (a pair), ready to install.
  • Height adjustable, so you set the stance.
  • Adjustable damping, from daily comfort to firmer track use.
  • Spring rate: Standard, 18 kg or 22 kg.
  • High-grade steel construction with a corrosion-resistant coating.

Which spring rate?

Standard is the street rate. 18 kg is stiffer, for track days, drifting and harder driving. 22 kg is the stiffest, for track use or very low static cars that need extra front-end support. More in the spring-rate guide. Front springs are also sold on their own: replacement front springs.

Questions owners ask.

A quick text beats a return.

Text 0449 887 291
Will these fit my ute or wagon?

Yes. On the EA, EB, ED, EF, EL, XH and AU Falcon the front is the same on sedans, utes and wagons, so it's the same front pair.

Is there a rear kit for EA to AU?

No. These are a front pair only. AU sedan rear coilovers are in development; there's no FalcX rear kit for EA to EL.

My AU has independent rear suspension. Does the front pair fit?

Yes. AU sedans came with either independent rear suspension or a solid rear axle. That only changes the rear: the front is the same on both, so it's the same front pair.

How low can I go and still drive it daily?

The body is height adjustable, so you set the drop. The lower you go, the more a firmer front spring makes sense: 22 kg is the one for very low static cars that need extra front-end support. Get an alignment after any height change.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes. Any ride-height change moves your camber and toe. Get an alignment once the car has settled — usually after a week of driving.

What if something fails?

Text 0449 887 291 or email sales@falcx.com.au with your order number and what's happened, and we'll sort it out. Photos or video help. Replacement front springs are also sold on their own.
